I've offered to help Vicky out with organising the Secret Santa this year and I know some people are itching to get started (if they haven't already done their piggy shopping).

So, can all rescues that want to take part in the secret santa get in touch with me now, you have until the 1st of November.

You need to let me know your name, rescue name and address. You must be able to get in touch and let us know when presents have arrived. This is really important as everyone wants to know that their gifts have arrived safely. We also ask you that you take photos to share on the forum as this is a real highlight of the event and means a lot to those taking part.

You must be a guinea pig rescue or sanctuary to be eligible to enter, if you want to nomminate a rescue or your own foster pigs you must have the rescues permission before doing so.

We don't need the name of the pigs yet as hopefully a lot of the ones in rescue at the moment will be rehomed before christmas. Piggies that can be nominated are those still looking for homes, or those that are permanent residents NOT pigs that you have chosen to keep as your pets.

When the time comes the organiser(s) will ask for a list of people who want to be Secret Santas, and they will then match up SS's with piggies, and we will be told who our piggy is. And don't forget it's SECRET Santa, so it's all anonymous.

I did this the year before last and it was so much fun and rewarding.

My piggy received the best Christmas present ever, a new home so my secret Santa gift went to another piggy at the rescue :) it melted my heart seeing the photos and hearing the story. I would love to participate again this year.

All we need now is for rescues to come forward :) without them, we can't do secret Santa.

Five rescues have been nominated so far. I'll reply to my messages tomorrow night when I have more time. Keep 'them coming though. x
 
I'm really excited to be a santa, this is my first chance as it's my first Christmas here : D

please note,we are not employed by the rspca nor are we a reception centre although it feels like it some days.We have had 205 guinea pigs in this year so far with more expected due to pregnant mums.
We are just volunteers doing what we can for small furries in need.

The closing date for rescue nominations is 1st November so if you are involved with a rescue that's not on this list, ask them if they would like to take part and to get in touch with me as soon as possible.

Vicky is still collecting names for the santas, so see her thread if you would like to send a lucky piggy a present. Not long now til we start matching piggies and santas... exciting. :(|)

Have you heard from Yate Small Animal Rescue? It's near to me and I've sponsored a lovely little piggy from there, but I can't find the Rescue on here to get in touch!

Hutches Small Animal Boarding and Rescue are the last rescue to have signed up.

We'll be matching up santas and piggies soon. :)
