Sense of pride:)

Does everyone feel the same sense of pride as me when they know their gp's are looked after properly?

I spend up to 2 hours a day checking hay, changing water, transferring them to the run, giving fresh veg and grooming spot cleaning etc

I sit down to watch them looking healthy and relaxed and I know all the hard work is worth it as there is alot of piggies out there that are not treated as well:(
 
Absolutely, people think I'm silly, but I don't care, I love my piggies and only the best will do! But at the same time I feel for piggies that aren't so lucky, a lot of people go on past assumptions. I'm glad there are sites like this that make it perfectly clear how piggies should be cared for xox
 
Occasionally, I have SO MUCH homework that I have no time to let my pigs out of their cage and I just end up throwing vegetables in there with them. It makes me feel horrible....... I hate the feeling I get when I don't spend time with them.
 
I feel proud when she actually eats her freshies and then squeeks and wheeks or popcorns.
 
Ooh me too! I get so much enjoyment taking care of my piggies, and love seeing it when they are munching and looking happy.
 
Me too! I was recently talking about them at work, my colleagues think i'm mad! One girl said she saw a guinea pig recently and thought it was "weird" :{rolleyes that did not impress me! I'll have to keep my piggie chat limited to here from now on!
 
I'm just discovering this :)

The last few evenings the piggies haven't been that impressed with their veggies. Tonight I tried a new type of lettuce, a little bit of kale and some french beans and they emptied the bowl so damn fast. I felt like the best piggie mummy ever!

I think I own the only guinea pigs in the land who dislike carrot, though.
 
i do, i love when people comment on how much room my 2 girls have. two 84" x 20" hutches joined together, and then they also go out in a run on the grass in nice weather. I love the time after ive done a full clean out, they sit and watch from their run wheeking until i put them back in the hutch, where they run laps and popcorn in the clean shavings :)) my 2 are spoilt rotten :) family and friends although think its great also think I'm a wee bit nuts i reckon. i do the same for my fish though, i have fancy goldfish and they live in 2 tanks in the living room, one which is 680L/150gallons and the other is 440L/95gallons. if i cant give my pets the best i dont own them :) makes me feel great for giving them a good life, but it makes me feel bad for all the little ones out there who dont get such good care :(
 
Happy pigs means Happy owners. Sometimes it's hard to juggle but I fit it in. I MUST make more time for my girls and boy!
