hi all, need to draw on the wealth of advice here! normally we just bring the piggies' hutch into the garage during the winter, but i'm wanting to switch to a c&c cage system instead, so they can have more cage space when it's too cold to go outside on the grass. so far i know i need the mesh cubes and the correx, but what else is needed? i've seen what looks like a litter tray type box where the food/water is-is this necessary? any help or advice greatly received!:D

Instead of a litter tray you can make a kitchen insert.

Pictures not mine.

You need:
-Correx
-Grids and connectors (connectors not necessary, I personally prefer cable ties but usually connectors come anyway)
-Cable ties regardless of connectors using

Obviously you need your tools:
-Knife to score
-Scissors
-Ruler or tape measurer
-Cellotape or a heavy duty clear tape
-I used pegs to hold the sides once I made the box, so I could tape the sides neatly

It took me 5 hours to make my basic 5x2 cage, and a kitchen insert, two posh hay racks, and the grids. Remember not to measure the outside of the grids, for the correx.
