I recently adopted to male piggies who are roughly a year old and was told they were the best of pals. Which on the most part i do believe.

My worry is when they are out the pen (we have a room set up for them to run about) Dwight constantly rumblestruts while the other darts around popcorning. Dwight chases the other one smelling his bum.

Should i be worried?

Sorry ive never had guinea pigs so young as previously they have been adopted a older. Also still trying to figure out a suitable name for guinea pig number 2

No, it is just very mild dominance behaviour and nothing to worry about. Enjoy your two boys!

Thanks so much for your reply. Thats reassuring. I was worried Dwight might not be settling in as well.

Welcome to the forum, sounds like it is going well and nothing to worry about, just a little dominance that you'll see from time to time

Could you add your location to your profile as it helps us tailor any advice if ever needed to your geographical location
