So Sha and Cho are settling in extremely well! They have lots of hay, their tablespoon each of pellets every night, chew stuff, two water bottles, and two hideys now! We made them a second hidey and they both seem to love it. Often times Cho can be found inside it with either Sha just out side or in his log shaped hidey. I am very happy with how they seem to be progressing. They are starting to let us know when they don't want to be touched or held so I am taking that as a good sign.

Their floor time play pen usually has two hideys, a hay bin, a water bottle, and two cardboard tunnels that they LOVE to zoomie in and out of. (We also usually put two of their chews in their for them)

Cho has this love of climbing on me or my husband when ever we move to do something with their cage (like refill the hay, get them out for floor time, ect) and we have to wait like five to ten minutes just to let him explore our laps! Sha tends to not do that as often, but sometimes the mood will take him. : )

I am just extremely happy that things seem to be going well. I hear them wheek so much and see them popcorn a lot! They've started wheeking when I grab their pellet bowl and it's just so sweet.

Sounds all good. They’re obviously happy with the zooming they’re doing 😁

Can I ask what chews you give them? Just that those store bought ones, despite saying they’re suitable, can pose a choking hazard or are not suitable. I would replace them with herbs (as treats) and cardboard is an all-piggy favourite.

Some wood chews are ok, but those weird ones with that papery texture don't seem like the best thing for a piggy. I personally give mine popsicle sticks (clean) and lots of cardboard.

So they are the KAYTEE brand of Apple Sticks? We picked them up the day after we got the boys and so far nothing has been wrong? Would it be advised to change? I also like the idea of popsicle sticks and could probably pick up a pack within the week!

Apple sticks are ok, you can even get them from the actual tree. But the info on them is misleading. They don’t help their teeth stay clean and healthy. Hay, the main staple, is what keeps them trim. I don’t know if Apple sticks do.

this is what I mean by the weird ones.

I haven't had a bad experience or anything, but I worry about my piggy eating the pieces accidentally. I'm also not sure what it's made of, and if it's really safe for a piggy to put in their mouth.

I wouldn’t give them that. It must have been dyed somehow.

Yeah all those weird toys are not meant for any living thing! With the dyes and artificial wood and other materials, there's no way it can be safe for a creature to put in its mouth!
