Hi
Moving house soon to a place with my own garden and I’ve decided the first thing I’m going to do Is get a decent sized shed for my girls. What I’m looking to find out though is what flooring people put down to stop pee soaking in and it rotting. I was thinking either Lino or some sort of stable mat.
Also if anyone can recommend a decent Quality shed with windows I would really appreciate it.
thanks 😊

I currently use a piece of wipe clean tablecloth and a piece of plastic sheeting on my shed floor (the table cloth only covering part of it as it wasn’t a huge piece). The plastic sheeting is just some from a garden centre off the roll. I then lay down newspaper and hay on the floor itself.

That’s a good idea, much cheaper 👍

Do you leave the floor uncovered or use something like shavings/auboise etc?

I have a brand new shed waiting to be put up sat in my garage..I have bought a large piece of pond liner for the floor and fake grass for on top.

Will they not try and eat the grass? I only ask as mine eat everything they shouldn’t, Correx, fleece etc etc 😂

I thought that but I tried them with a sample piece and they never bothered with it,they don't seem to eat what they shouldn't lol

My husband built some platforms at waist height which form the base of their C&C cage. It means you are not looking down on them too, which means they are less fearful (I am not treated as a flying eagle lol). The floor is lined with the sort of gym flooring (I will try and find a link) which is easy to clean and keeps the warmth in. The cages are lined with Correx. the good thing about lifting the floor up and creating a platform is you get tonnes of storage area! Mischief has her pent house built in the Eaves as she no longer likes fellow guineas...but she can see them. the whole set up works really well! The picture is not that clear but hopefully you get the gist. Cage 2.jpeg
