'Star' is the name I've given to one of the babies born yesterday to a sow that a friend has been pig-sitting; sadly when my friend and I checked on the piggies in the morning, as well as two healthy babies we found this little one already dead at the back of the cage. She looked as perfect as her siblings, we don't know if she was 'born sleeping' or if she passed away afterwards for some reason.
Her mum's name is 'Rockstar', and as she has gone to be a bright star shining over Rainbow Bridge to guide other piggies, it seemed an appropriate name to give, to acknowledge that for an all too brief moment in time she was here on earth. It's just sad that she will never know life in all its fullness, the love and care of her mother, companionship of fellow piggies, sunshine and fresh grass, and all those things we all wish for our furry friends.

I am ever so sorry that little Star was not given a chance to shine. Babies lost at birth are always so heart-breaking. :(

So sad. Lots of love I am so very sorry. Poor little girl didn’t have long here, all fair to brief. So sad. Massive hugs to you and your friend buddy x
