Shocked Guinness

That's really good to hear that he has eaten some hay by himself, even a small amount. Hopefully that antibiotic is leaving his system.

Are you still syringe feeding him? Even if you cannot get 120ml into him, as long as you can get in as much as you can.

Is he still pooping? If his guts are working properly and he is receiving enough food he should be pooping, even though they will be less frequent. I would also ask your vet for a gut stimulant, we usually use Zantac, although Metaclopromide is another option - this will keep his guts going.

If you are going to see the same vet as well, I would raise the point that what was injected into Guinness is toxic to Guinea Pigs. I'm not sure if anything is available to help 'flush it out' but something could be. Your vet may need to speak to an exotics specialist himself and explain what has happened. Absolutely do not allow anymore of the Clamoxyl to be given to Guinness.

Wishing you all the best and I really hope he continues to pick up today and makes a full recovery.
I saw the vet today on my own so as not to stress Guinness. He gave me some Bio Lapis. Later Guinness ate some clover and dandelion leaves from my garden. We have given him some more Rescue but he still struggles with that. Also struggles with the Bio-Lapis. he does drink water from the syringe. Put him back in his cage with fresh Timothy hay and he seemed to be eating some. I read about some cream from Gaylensgarden. Is that good ?

please be careful with dandelion leaves - it is very strong diuretic and force to go toilet very often.Without vet recommendation I will not take risk and give it to ill guinea.Cheapest to order biolapis from internet and have always have it nearby together with recovery mix and box of 1ml syringes.

He won't drink the biolapis or anything like that . He struggles away from the recovery mix as it smells of food , that is his problem. The only thing he will take by syringe without struggling is water.
I took him back to the vet today, she examined his teeth. He hasn't lost weight, but his tummy is a bit bloated . He has to have 0.5ml 3x daily of Emeprid.

if he not eat he may have bloat. We used mix of activated charcoal + pine apple juice+ biolapis to unblock his passage.
He need to do dropping pissing and eating. And vet will not help you unless you left him in special place where people know what to do.
If not dropping need unblock. We used mix of activated charcoal + pine apple juice+ biolapis to unblock his passage.
Also massage his belly will help.
When he will start do dropping he should eat.It is urgent. If he no eat need syringe him food and water until he start eat on its own.And while you doing these things VET need to find what exactly happens with him.It is separate process. You keep him alive and vet heal him.If you want I give you good vet - but you more likely need travel to Mortlake called CJ hall.Imho it is only one who can actually heal and not pts.
