I spoke with my friend this morning; he is coming over this afternoon as I need to drive out to Saint Louis tonight to be there early in the morning for my next MS neurology appointment and logistically that will be a nightmare if there is not someone here to care for things, feed animals, etc.
I have shown you pix of him getting to know Redemption. Turns out that despite whatever faults the guy may have, he is keen on guinea pigs, and questioned me about Salvatore, asking me if he had a name yet, was he still alive, how was he faring, etc. He is actually looking forward to seeing poor little Sal. I asked him if he had any GP experience to offer me, and he said no, this is his first encounter with them as well.
Goes to show that even "elderly" people (he's 62, I'm 58) can find new delights in their lives, so never give up, you don't know what's around the corner!
