New Born Pup
I have a 7 month old male guinea pig who lives with another boar. I noticed that Marley, my ill boar, was looking thin so scooped him up and started feeding him critical care last night. I noticed that last night he wasn't making any bowel movement and about his second feeding was passing stool. It's smaller then usual but isn't mucus or stringy just smaller in size. He wasn't eating at all and today saw he was actually trying to eat. I'm still hand feeding him critical care and water and also gave him some infant gas x. His bowel movements are more often now and as I said he tries eating his hay on his own but not much. He also sleeps a lot or just hunches and sits in his hut. The other guinea pig he was housed with is just fine. Sadly at the moment can't afford to go to the vet and was curious am I approaching this the right way? Is what he's doing now with pooping more but they are smaller then normal and trying to eat signs of good improvement?
