So I've had a bit of a rotten month, but its starting to come to end now - currently I am feeling sorry for myself recovering from a general anaesthetic op. There can only be one way to cheer myself up... Silly guinea pig stories! I can bet everyone has at least one as we know what they are like!

The bad month began with the sad loss of hairy boy Reggie (in my avatar), and I have told his silly story once before I think, but its a good memory.

My flatmate and I at the time were babysitting a pair of girl piggies belonging to our friends, and so the girlies lived for a couple of days at the opposite end of the living room from our pair of boys. We used to let Reggie and Eddie out to wander round the living room, and as we planned to go to the shops, shut the cage with Reggie and Eddie back inside and left. Or so we thought... when we arrived back we caught Reggie not only outside the closed cage while Eddie was inside (Eddie was seriously unimpressed at this!), but also sniffing noses with one of the girls through their own cage bars! We couldn't believe it, had no idea how we had managed to leave Reggie on the loose like that! It took so long to catch the naughty boy after that too haha, far too speedy for his own good back then.

Please share your silly stories and funny pigtures/videos! The more the better :D

Haha cheeky boy! My Amelia Jane is so obsessed with food. She does not like tomato but if the others are eating it she will just not to miss out. She even steals hay out of their mouths. I once caught her trying to take water out of aminas mouth!

:)) she sounds like a real character! Some pigs have just not got any manners!

Here's mine:
Okay, it was Oskar and Woody's first trip to the vets. Oskar was first up.. he was popcorning up and down on the desk. And Woody.. I think he was a little nervous.. so HE PEEEDD ALL OVER THE VET... HAHA! Thats what you get when you touch a small piggy!

Another one:
We were cleaning out the piggies. Woody was up on the ramp, and we had taken the platforms off. He just sat there... like he was asking "What the hell humans? GET ME OFF" and my dad started talking with this people that lives under us. I was like looking the other way.. and then the next thing i heard was the sound of water streaming down somewhere. I was like "WHAT"? And i saw Woody, just PEEING away.. like he had never before. It was a fountain. There's like a pee theme in these stories.

Hope it makes you day!

Mines not funny so much but quite amazing! The handle on our front door was broken unbeknown to me. The guineas were in our front room in the indoor cage (6 of them) drying off after a bath. I went to the supermarket and without realising, the front was left wide open due to the lock failing.

My husband was fortunately in the house upstairs. He heard the guineas making weird noises (that funny gutteral rumbling they do when concerned) they were doing this and in his words, sounded very upset. He rushed downstairs to see what was wrong and found a man in the house casing the joint! He surprised the guy, confronted him and the guy ran off. The guineas fell silent as soon as my husband came downstairs.

They were heroes...I was in the dog house! Still amazes me even now.,,how did they know he was a 'bad' man. The guy was' nt even in the front room, just the hall. Can you imagine his reaction at the 'guard guineas'!

my two love doing the "lady &the tramp" (green) spaghetti scene only trouble is Grace often gets nearly to the middle, then decides to pull her head away, pulling poor Ellie all over the place, legs akimbo trying to stay in the same spot!
Poor Ellie doesn't stand a chance as Grace is such a big honker! (but both so lovely) :)) :luv:

Hope you recover quickly from your op. xx

I laughed at this one - mostly with the vision of a piggy popcorning around on a vets table though! Haha. Hope your pee-fountain is better behaved these days :D

Thats amazing. I always joke about our piggies being guard or attack pigs... seems they can do that for real though!

My boys did this with hay a couple of times, so funny! They didn't fight quite so much over it though :))

I have to say I was and am still stunned. My husband has always accepted the guineas but after this he had a new found respect!
