I have a new guinea pig. He is in our living room which is where we spend our time when are home. I get patches out before work and spend usually 1 to 2 hours with floor time and cuddles. He is active and seems happy. I am wondering if we should introduce another piggy or let Patches stay a single piggy who gets all of the attention? I just want the best for my little guy! P.s this is my 3rd guinea pig and I have always had single pigs

Piggies are social animals and are wired to live with other guinea pigs. No matter how much love and attention you give you can never replace a friend. Do you have a rescue near you that offers boar dating? Your piggie will be much happier with a friend.

I agree with Betsy guinea pigs need to be in pairs. Much as you love them very much, you can't speak there language please get a pair & you will see the difference in there behaviour.

Agree with the advice from above. Piggies are herd animals so love company of their own kind. Are you UK based? We have a recommended rescue locator here that may be bale to suggest a reputable rescue where you could take Patches boar dating to find the perfect friend Guinea Pig Rescue Centre Locator

I agree with the other posters- guinea pigs really do thrive with the company of another pig. Having a second pig won't take away from the attention he receives from you and will give him a friend who 'speaks his language,' so to speak.
