I have done a mass of grooming today. I have bathed 6 guineas from one cage and done all their nails and hair cutting. I have never seen such sulky guineas ever. if I go anywhere near the cage they run off like crazy.

I am NOT favourite tonight despite the big bowls of food given after.
 
hehe, guineas are good at enslaving humans and creating guilt in us :)):)) they'll get over it when they finally realize that they smell good.

good job you! doing so much, pat on your back!
 
Just wait until New Year celebrations are over and I have the house to myself - then it's MY turn...

Can't piggies just do a BIG SULK with al the trimmings - just to make you feel like the worst monster owner EVER?
 
They seriously can! I am getting evil eyes all over the place. But they all smelled bad and some of them have never been bathed so i just bit the bullet and did it.

Next time it's all occupants of the other cage - they are in th kitchen though so I can't see the dirty looks from the living room thank goodness.

Nice feeling though to know they are all clean, white instead of pale yellow or wee stained and all nails are lovely and short. I was nervous cutting Lotta's nails though as hers are all black.
 
they do sulk one of mine just to sulk when i came home late but the best one was in January when on a Saturday i had to work till 5 & he knew before i went to work & sulked all night when i got home
 
Oh my... That's a lot of sulky eyes! I have still to do a guinea pig bath, mine have pretty short hair and haven't started to smell yet, but the way they behave they have it coming... :)

I'm sure they'll have forgotten all aboout it in the morning ;)
 
I've just ordered some lovely stuff from Gorgeous Guineas in readiness for when I get my first piggies early in the New Year. You don't bath bunnies so the bathing business will be all new to me! Poor piggies, that's all I can say! Any tips?
 
Piggies really do know how to let you know how they feel, don't they? Hope they have forgiven you today. :))
