Hi Natalie, where is the bald patch? If it's behind the ears then all pigs *** this and is nothing to worry about xx

hi

thanks for your reply but no its not behind her ears its on her left side . I'm kinda worried especially this being my first time of having guinea pigs x x

Hi,

Is the bald patch flakey? do bits of skin come off like dandruff? or is it just a patch of baldness?

If it doesn't flake it could be a bad case of mites which can be treated by spot on ivermectin by beapher

No its not flakey or no dandrufed like bits .. her fur is still really silky too x if its mites could molly get them too iv been reading up on things but when your ready things i have loadz of questions in my head that just ready a page cant anwer thats why I'm glad i found this forum its great x x

thats for the link it looks like funal face but i guess they can get that anywhere *** this patch is on her side is that right? and if it is what can i do for her as she is only 10 weeks old x x

As you've only just got your piggies I would ring Pets at Home, they should pay the vets fees.
As we're not sure what the problem is I would take her to the vet to be on the safe side. Take both of them so they don't get too stressed out being apart and incase they both need treating.
Have you found a cavy savvy vet yet?
There's a few members in your area maybe someone can recommend a good vet. Where in South Yorkshire are you?

it looks loads better today when i first noticed it it looked like dry skin but lumpy and now the lumps are not there and it smooth again. I'm gunna give them a call tomorrow .. its not dry and flaky her hair doesnt fall out either I'm sooooooooooo confused .. yeah I'm in barnsley south yorkshire any numbers would be appercited ...
