Hello!

I got my piggies on Monday last week (i have 2), tomorrow will be the first time i do a proper clean so i will need to take both guinea pigs out.

Range is the best! just pops out anytime and really lets a stroke with some vegs!

Rover is the complete opposite, never lets me touch - and not interested in food when i feed Range. However, she joined in today.. still needs some time to catch up.

She escaped on Tuesday as i tried to pull her out and as she's on a balcony (in a hutch) i was terrified... :{ i then made the balcony piggy ") safe!

how do you propose i take rover out and put her in her run, whilst i clean the hutch?

I used to use an Igloo, the one with the bottom so I could pick it up with ease. Now I tend to corner and grab :)).. My piggies don't squirm once they are caught... its the catching thats difficult!

ahh, the pigloo i've got doesnt have a base! i'll try to slide something under and lift! until rover is used to me.

If you've got a smallish cardboard box that will fit in the hutch, you can put it on its side and gently shush her into that, then just put your hand over the top and gently turn it upright. Not ideal but will do in a pinch. Or depending on the type of pigloo you have maybe you could turn it upside down. x

You can use a towel to corner her and lift her out without touching her directly.
