As many of you may know. I had to say goodbye to my precious Patrick yesterday after battle with bloat/gut complications.
We are all heartbroken, His 3 girls wonder when he is coming back. I wish I could tell them he’s coming back for Christmas.. But he’s peacefully passed over rainbow bridge where he has joined Mary’s ex-husboar Spike (I hope they get along!) and Wilma whom he met briefly.
I got Patrick from the RSPCA in Melbourne just last year. The 23rd of November 2019. Estimated at a year old. Straight away we could tell he had a funny and outgoing personality. He took to the girls straight away.. he humped everyone.. But settled in very well. Mary was chuffed to have a husboar again.
He taught the 3 girls about being braver around us humans, In no time he had them all up at the bars begging for food.
In true pig style, Patrick loved food. He’d often make his way over to the fridge and put his paws up on it while I was chopping their veg.
He had cute crazy hair which suited his personality, He certainly was very cute a little crazy at times.
He excelled in power naps, laying on his side with his eyes wide open and before you know it he had sprung back into action.. mostly to go and wind up the girls.
Oh I miss him so much already. But I’m comforted in knowing he’s no longer in pain, and he enjoyed his life here in our little animal filled cottage.
Sleep tight Patrick, Thanks for being awesome.
