My guinea pig just sneezed twice while he was eating his hay and now there is clear discharge coming out of his nose. What do I do?
 
Don’t worry at this stage. Sneezing twice is not in itself a cause for concern. They have narrow airways and sneezing while eating can often be caused by eating too fast or dust irritating the air ways.
Keep an eye on him and if sneezing becomes more consistent and he starts displaying other signs of illness, then see a vet.
 
Hello, i have two male guinea pigs and 14 days ago i noticed one of them started sneezing more. He has been sneezing around 4-5 times everyday since two weeks ago and acts and weighs normal. He doesn’t have crusty eyes or nose and there is no discharge. There is only clear discharge while he is eating hay, but I think that’s normal, right? I don’t think it’s a URI because wouldn’t it have been a lot worse by now? Thanks for any replies.
 
What do you mean about discharge when he’s eating hay? Does he seem to sneeze when eating or drinking? They have small airways and clear by sneezing. And sometimes if they eat or drink too clearly they will cough/sneeze

BUT If you’re worried then book him in to see a vet.
 
When he is eating hay sometimes he will sneeze and there will be clear discharge from his nose
 
But a lot of the times he is just walking around when he sneezes
 
If you’re worried take him to the vets. Better safe than sorry.
 
Agree with above sometimes when in hay dust can irate the nose but if you are concerned a quick vets check is advised

My piggies sneeze sometimes so loud in my room because of the hay poking their nose I say god bless u
