Hi, I have 2 boars (both live separate). Sometimes when I pick them up for a cuddle sometimes they make a sneezing noise? I don't ever hear them do it when they are in their cage though. Is this a common type of behaviour or do you think they have a cold? Thanks

How often is it happening, is there any discharge from the nose? It could be dust up the nose, or allergies but it can also be a sign of a URI. Do they have crusty eyes at all or any laboured breathing? If they have any of these other symptoms or they keep on sneezing then they should be checked out by a vet.

They only do it when they are first picked up which is why I thought they may be doing the noise on purpose to tell me to go away but perhaps its something I need to get checked. Its not very often and they don't have laboured breathing or discharge from nose but something I have just noticed. Thanks Allot for the advice

It could well be a habit thing. Maybe something to monitor for now then.

Ours used to sneeze when we were cuddling them. I changed to fairy fabric softener for our clothes as its for sensiive skin and babies and they only very rarely sneeze now.
