Hi one of my boys Percy has a snotty nostril and sneezes quite frequently... Does anyone know what this is and is there anything I can do at home or would it be best for him to be seen by a vet!? (if they'll see him at this time)
Any advice is appreciated, thanks😊

An ongoing snottiness problem should be seen by a vet.

It could be URI or rhinitis, something stuck in a nostril that cannot be dislodged or - in thankfully very rare cases - even indicate a tooth growing the wrong way and into the nose. Some piggies can be sensitive to pollen. Proper allergies are thankfully rare in guinea pigs.

Please check first whether you have got potential irritants in the room you are keeping your guinea pigs in and change your hay brand in case your piggy is sensitive to dust (even if they are on a dust extracted brand; not all are equally good).
