I just saw someone else casually mentioning that 'snuggle sacks' help to pick up guinea pigs in a less stressful way.

What are snuggle sacks, and how does one use them to pick up skittish piggies? o_o My two youngest piggies are still very wary of being picked up, so anything that might help would be rad.

Ohhh my goodness so cute. Sometimes Chewy crawls into a cardboard tunnel they have, and I scoop him up securely within the tunnel. I guess it's a similar theory but with a bag. x) Thank you! I will look into gettone one of those!

I was just about to make a thread along these lines, but I'll keep it in here if its not too much of a problem.
Basically I want to get a cosy cave, and I know there is Pawsup but I forget the other places you can buy this kind of stuff from, they are all low key and I am really sorry but I forget the names :mal:
I wondered if we could have a sticky thread with all the websites for things like snuggle sacks etc? I remember when I joined there was a thread asking about where to buy them.

Anselmo looks a bit blurry eyed in that photo! Oops! I guess he was too busy marching across Spencer so i didn't get a good shot.

Yeah, it's the same idea. I think as they only have one end pigs sometimes feel safer when running into them. You can get ones like cardboard tubes, but made from fleece and some different shapes (I have one that's L shaped, and there's round bed shapes for if they feel more comfortable sleeping out in the open.

Most websites I find are usually out of stock, as they have large orders to fill, and most people work too so don't make rhe beds full time. I usually Google around until I find some in stock.

I don't have Facebook but there's loads of people on there that sell them too.

I've just bought some snuggle tubes from member Janet Ashdon, they are so well made and great value for mony . I will try and get you a link

Mine have just arrived and haven't tried yet, I'm going to see if they run into them and then pick them up? I hope that's not the wrong approach, the taming process is so slow.

I have four fleece snuggle sacks (two to use while the other two are in the wash) for my girl's as they are so good for scooping them up out of their cage and pen plus they love to chill in them during lap time. I got mine off ebay.
