So Sad - Guinea drowned :(

A high percentage of animal abusers "develop" into abusers of people.
 
It is an absolutely horrid thing to have happened but saying that, the guineas shouldn't have been left unsupervised in their run as any number of things can happen in 4-5 hours :(

Security of our pets as well as our homes/cars needs to be an issue these days but have to think of foxes/dogs etc as well as idiot criminal thugs and keep our little furries safe.

They would be no safer in an outside hutch. If someone wants to come in and do something like this being in a run makes them no less safe than in their hutch. My guineas are left in their runs when I go out, and I'm sure alot of others are too. It would take too long to put them all back in their hutches just to go out for a few hours.
 
That's horrific! Criminal damage? They should be locked up and thrown in Bedlam! What goes through the minds of the abusers? I don't get it at all!

I never leave mine out, although we have a secluded back not for fear of abusers but I worry they will get out!
 
That is soo sad, i dont know how ppl can be so cruel.
Poor childreni feel for them i really do.
I'm so glad mine are indoors
 
that is horrific, but have to say my guinea pigs are in a run outside, when the weather is nice, and sometimes i pop out and they have always been fine, i think this is a rare thing to happen, also a very sick thing and yes people that are cruel to animals do often go on to commit very abusive crimes.grrrr
 
What sad sick peoplepow-pow. Why do they do such awful things. If caught I think they should be named and shamed. Shame you can't put them in village stocks, then tar and feather them, cruel b******s.
 
that is shocking, the poor family. Some people have absolutely no sense of right and wrong. Poor little piggy, i hope it didnt suffer too much.
 
One of the better punishments i can think of is to name and shame them. Parade them round their local town with a megaphone and tell everyone just exactly what they've done. Bet that would make them think twice.

I actually cannot even comprehend why someone would want to do that? For fun? For kicks? I can't get my head around it. I just feel so sorry for the poor kids, what a terrible way to lose your pet. And the poor little piglets, they've lost a mum.
 
I was absolutely horrified! There is simply no adequate word for people like this...
 
This made me feel sick and my children were also upset to the point that my 11 year old was still talking about it again this morning ....... can't understand how some peoples minds work, shocking, absolutely shocking
