So I posted the following thread a couple of weeks ago after Charlie injured his paw and was put on a course of baytril and Metacam
Baytril And Metacam
Anyway, after another week on just Metacam as advised by the vet, there's still no improvement and the swelling hasn't gone down. He is due to see the vet again tomorrow- She told us last week that the next option would be an X-ray under anaesthetic to see what's going on with his foot and possibly flush out whatever is in there if it's an infection or a foreign body. I feel so anxious at the thought of him going under anaesthetic as seems such a big thing for a small animal. he is only 2 years old and pretty healthy but I just worry! Charlie doesn't seem too bothered about his foot , no change in appetite etc and he's not limping but when I check his foot he does show discomfort if it's pressed etc.
Just want to do the best for him but so worried and dreading tomorrow's vet appointment
