Social distancing (Prevention) is meant for the healthy to avoid catching the virus and passing it on.
The higher your personal risk is, the more you want to restrict your interaction and exposure. This also applies to partners/family of high risk people as much as possible.

Self-Isolation (Quarantine)
You have to self-isolate at home if you experience potential coronavirus symptoms or have been in contact with a confirmed coronavirus sufferer in the last 2 days before they fell ill.
The current UK recommendation for somebody suffering from acute symptoms is to stay is to stay at home for 1 week if you are single, 2 weeks for you and anybody you live with.
The actually ill person should ideally stay in their room during that time; if there is only one bathroom to use it last after everybody else in order to keep the infection down. Clean and if possible disinfect crucial areas (taps, buttons, light switches toilet seats and basin) before use again. Do not share any towels and toiletries and take them back to your room unless they are laundered.
Any food has to be left at the door and any emptied dishes need to be picked up with care. Please use thorough handwashing and clean infected dishes and cutlery last during washing up. Keep the dishes and cutlery of infected people separate from the others during that time.
With affected children you have to play it by ear as self-isolation is not possible.
