Smudge is now 3 1/2 and has always been fit and well.

I noticed that he was a bit quieter this week but didn't know if it was because we were having building work and we have had to move the cages around, I've just been keeping an eye on him.

I noticed this morning that there were soft poos in the cage and when I picked him up, it was definitely from him, not his cage mate.

I have had him checked over at the vets and she couldn't find anything of concern. I had already given him some fibreplex, so she said just to carry on with that and see how he goes. I also have some prebiotic to add to his food.

I know I have to stop his veg for a couple of days just until everything settles down, I'm presuming it won't do his cage mate any harm to go without for a couple of days.

Also he could do with a bath, he's a himi cross so being pale was heading towards the bath anyway, but he has managed to stand in the poo and generally needs cleaning up. I wasn't planning to do it today but do you think I should give it a good few days (week ?) or just get him cleaned up tomorrow

Thanks

Andrea

I would just sponge off what you can and not put him through the stress at the moment. If he has a poo feet issue then, just soak his feet in warm water and carefully remove any dried poo. Love and healing vibes to Smudge
