Soft toys in the cage

Can you put any teddy bear in the cage? I was looking at Laura's baggy thread and saw there were teddies in there. I really want to put one in now but just want to double check if there is a certain type that can be harmful?
 
My current foster pig came with a soft toy, he has moved it around the cage but I don't know if it is because it got in his way!

The soft toy only looks nibbled on the label, I suppose anything that is safe for a baby to chew on would probably be ok for the piggies, I would just watch out for bits of stuffing and take it out if that happened.
 
Here is the lucky bear, I have named him Bungle, hope they like him! :)

Most teddies are fine, either soft dog toys or human teddies. You just have to cut labels/ribbons/tassles/"hair" fluff off so they don't have anything to chew off it. Make sure eyes and fixtures etc. are secure, likewise with seams. Every pig of mine loves to snuggle up with a teddy, even the Macho Men (Elijah and Errol - so not macho but you'd think they would be). The bigger the teddy the better, in my pigs' view, but they do love some of the small ones too.

Frankie and Meg are seriously in love with a big (twice their size) fluffy soft duck. I don't think I have pics, will have to try. When I take the duck out the cage Frankie paces up and down until I give him it back. Meg is also very attached to it.

There was a similar thread to this with some more thoughts, let me find it for you...

P.S. Love the "Laura's baggy thread", that gave me a giggle. :))

i used to have a teddy in with mine :) didnt get any pics though sadly

I have put Bungle on the armchair - I rescued him this morning from their bed, he is COVERED in hay, they have only had him a night! grrrr:(|)

guinea pigs

i love guinea pigs they are oh soooooooo cute i have a soft toy guinea pig too.my mum always does not let me adopt a pet so thats why i have this soft toy:<>
