Evening all :)

We went to Birmingham today for Stevens 6th injection and his first scan since starting the treatment to see if it's had any effect. As the tumors in his lungs were the most worrying ones at the moment he had an x-ray which they compared to the scan from 3 months ago before he started the treatment and it showed only one small tumor! The rest seem to have cleared up ( there were over a dozen ) so we are just unbelievably happy and relieved. We were hoping they may have shown signs of improvement, but never expected to have such good results so soon.

Next month he'll be having an MRI on his leg to see how the tumor in his leg ( which is alot larger ) is reacting to the drug. We aren't expecting that tumor to clear up as quite frankly it's just far too big, what we'd ideally like to happen is some shrinkage then calcification.

It's just incredibly exciting as so far everyone on this drug trial has seen positive effects from this drug which means its revolutionising the treatment for this form of tumor and may be a breakthrough in the treatment of other tumors/cancer

Only downside of today was on the drive down some debris from a truck infront has cracked the windscreen on the car, but it's a small price to pay

That's fabulous news. I'm thrilled for you both. Everything crossed that the next scans are as promising. xx>>>
