Paddy Paws reached double figures on Saturday, so today, we had a belated birthday party!

The old man himself was guest of honour

And Molly had an invite too

There was cake

And the candles were lit (because grown up dogs are allowed to have candles)

And we all sang Happy Birthday

Everybody had a slice of cake

And a fun (if somewhat tiring) time was had by all!

And now I'm just waiting for my lift to arrive with the straight jacket!

I also love how both of my dogs, when told to leave food, look away and pretend it's not there! :))

Why is there any need for a straitjacket? This all seems perfectly acceptable behaviour to me. Lovely pics, by the way. (Who blew out the candles, and therefore got to make the wish?)

why has no-one asked what the cake was made of yet?

What was that cake made of?!?!?! haha.. looked like a nice veggie burger.. then a cake.. then meaty.. then chocolatey. I'm so confused. Lye down time.

I assumed it was a liver cake, I have made tuna cake before for pepper and used it for training (not for a birthday treat though)

Ooooh what a lovely birthday you had Paddy Paws! Rosie sends her love and wishes she could have been there! x

He may have needed a little help with the candles :))

It was liver cake...liver, flour and egg, whizz together in the blender and bake until cooked. My mum made it as I refused to touch the liver :))

Can use anything smelly, tuna or smoked haddock goes down well, as does liver.

Lovely pics hun, i love Molly's expression in her "hat photo" "Mum do i have to wear this?"

:))

x

Just to add, they didn't eat the whole cake! It got chopped up into little cubes to be used for training treats. It freezes well, so two batches went in the freezer, and one in the fridge for today!

Happy birthday Paddy! x)

xx>>> Brilliant - love it and what a fab time they must have had :laluot_22:
We have piggy birthday parties here, banners and party plates for them so no, you're not needing the straight jackets hun :))
It's the humans who'll drive me insane one day :laluot_32: My pets keep me calm :aJFBQ00150070111B:

Sat here with him on my lap wondering if he'll make it to 20! The vet did say the other day that he'll be one of them miserae terriers that lives forever just to spite everyone :))

Awww. Just fantastic pictures.

I love good old fashioned birthday parties, especially when the guests don't moan! Especially when they just want to lick you with love to death.
:))
