well the lady took him to PDSA they said he had mites and treated him with the 450 ivermec..

they gave him 1 dose and sent her on her way, but the condition got much worse where half the guinea pig was a scab of bloody mess..

well ive seen him and i advised her he needs ivermec injected, plus he has a fungal infection.

the PDSA sent her away with Enrofloxacin (not sure about this antibiotic so could someone advise me if its a save one) at a dose of 0.6mls once a day..

and told her to bath the guinea pig 3 times a day in hibiscrub:{

they gave the poor guinea NO pain meds, he has now stopped eating and lost weight feels very boney..

so she has gone away from mine with probiotic, recovery, pellets so she can syringe feed, camrosa cream, microneem. and 1 dose of metacam which i gave myself here. plus vit c to syringe feed him.

i have told the lady to ring the vets up and ask for ivermec injected...

all given free of charge via myself..

i just hope the little guy will be ok i have also adviced her not to keep him on shavings but on towels. he is 4yrs old and a sweet sweet guinea pig..

could someone advise me on the antibiotics above ^

Ah, bless him. I can't advise you but just wanted to say how nice it was for you to do all this for her :). I just hope the little man recovers soon. It doesn't sound very pleasant poor thing :(

Poor poor baby, hope they are much better soon.
