My piggie gizmo has a sore eye, just noticed when I went to clean them out, not sure if it’s maybe just been dozy trying to mount him or not. Has anyone ever had this? I have attached a picture.

I don't have much experience with this, but eyes are very delicate so I suggest going to a vet. :)

Hi! It looks a prolapsed gland to me, but please see your vet.

It has no connection with any piggy behaviour.

Thanks. I won’t be able to get to my local vets until Sunday now, but I will keep a close eye on it and make sure it doesn’t get worse.

It shouldn't get worse and it is not an emergency (unlike an eye injury), so please rest easy on that score!

Aw thanks, I feel better now, and probably would of worried, I am working all day tommorow so probably would of been worrying then to. Do you know if a wet cotton wool would help it any?

On a recent animal first aid course I did the vet swore by cold black tea to sooth eyes.

I wouldn’t put anything on it at this stage. Not until you have seen a vet.
