These are 4 sows which arrived today at Sokel Rescue (Graham) as part of a larger group of piggies. Graham has kept the male piggies to be rehomed and I have the sows.

They have no names yet but thought I would pop them on Photo section. I am cross referencing them on Rescue also - all should be ready to go in FOUR WEEKS TIME.

The larger sow is Mum to the two with same colourings - obviously from different litters!! The white youngster 3 weeks old is from a Himalayan sow - she is lovely and will be named Snowdrop (possibly got some Sheltie in her). The rest I have yet to name:

Well done both of you for rescuing these little sweethearts, especially Graham as I know that this is a difficult time for you too.

The 4 rescue sows (with me at Gretna) now have names: (PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES FOR ID's)


3 week old white Sheltie x (poss) Himi - SNOWDROP
1/2 week old agouti and white - SWEETPEA


Mum - MEG
Daughter - BISCUIT

PLEASE NOTE: these girls will be rehomed in PAIRS (in fact in the pairs I have listed above).

Hello everyone, I am Louise and new to the forum, introduced by Graham after contacting about rehoming of some piggies. I am looking for one or more sows to join my two females (Nettle and Peanut) and neutured male (Pickle) who has recently lost his girlfriend (Olive) to old age. I would love to adopt either or both pairs of the above cuties. They would be going to a loving happy home x. I have contacted Graham. I justed wanted to add this message to say hello, and that there is a good home here waiting for them if needed.x

I know Preston very well (I have relatives in Leyland) and I lived in Wigan for years. Anyway these 4 sows you can consider reserved for you as of now - but as I am sure you will appreciate- only on Graham's approvaL.

If all is well then I can certainly meet with you half way if you can travel - no problems at all there - I know its only 1hour 25 mins or so straight down the M6 from Preston if you wanted to come and see them here.

Very best wishes and I shall await hearing from either yourself or Graham with the next step. But to confirm - i have provisonally reserved them in your name.

These 4 girls are now available for re-homing again in the near future due to the reservation falling through due to unforeseen circumstances. Please let us know if you are interested.
