After Spike having been diagnosed with a Uti at Christmas he had a course of injections which cleared it right up......

Last night we noticed a tiny bit if red in his urine and we thought, oh no, it must be stones......however when we got him out and cuddled him till he peed again on a towel there was no repeat.....today I've had him out again and still no more blood in his urine.......anybody had this before?

His mood hasn't changed (other than going through a grieving period for Gizmo last week) but a nice bath and change/disinfectant of everything and him and Pixie have perked right up.......

Just curious about this strange touch of blood with no repeat.......could it be something he's eaten...?

Sorry..it's late so pleae 'scuse my brevity

a) what antibioitic inections, (what dosage?) and for how long?
b) intermittant red tinge can be normal for some pigs..it could be porphyrins not blood....dipstick test (human) will tell

Sounds like he's firing on all cylinders..

.....just get the urine tested to Pmake sure it aint blood. Put Piggie in a plastic pet carrier on cling film or plastic. Have a sterile syringe and collection tube (called a universal) to hand and voila
