I have ordered some new lovely hay for my piggies to try, so exciting :<>- how sad is that lol :))

My piggies get so excited when they are getting fresh hay- the noise is unbelievable so i thought i would treat them to something new and different to have with their current hay, i've ordered some Excel Herbage hay which has dandelions (Which they LOVE) and marigold so should be super tasty for them and some Readigrass which they have never had before.

I am also waiting for one of Pollies lovely piggie beds to arrive any day now :<>

This is as well as me buying them a couple of tunnels for in their cage and run already this month- i think i've probably spent more then i should have done and i'm not sure what the Other Half thinks of that :(|) but i just can't resist treating them to stuff cause i just love seeing them so happy :) They are worth every penny!

Has anyone else been treating their piggies to new Hays/Toys this month :))?

I just gat a delivery of hay today! It had a sample pack and a couple of bigger bags of hay it so mine are dining like royalty this evening! We also came upon a lucky find a few days ago, our neighbours got new carpets and left the cardboard tubing out so we have that cut up for them to hide it! When it runs out I am going to pop down to my local carpet shop and see if they have any more spare!

Brilliant...I've been considering for quite some time about getting new toys and you've inspired me....right I know what I'm doing this weekend.

I've had to set myself a budget each month for piggy things! I've ordered a big bag of Orchard Grass and a little bag of Oat, Wheat and Barley as a treat.
They've just found great delight in a rolled up tube of newspaper stuffed with hay!

Hehe i suppose the inco pads are for the good of the piggies lol!
Katiepops: i like your idea of rolling up newspaper- i'm going to try that myself tonight now :(|)

It is too easy to get carried away when buying for piggies isn't it, i have to stop myself and say to myself "That will have to wait til next pay day" as i'm not sure my other half would approve of me spending ALL our money on the piggies.

He already says they get better food then him (Cause i buy so much fresh veg for them and i find myself popping in a few herb too :)) )
I bought 2 different Parsleys and some Basil this week just for the piggies :p

I'm also thinking of stopping off at Primark tonight to get a new fleece for floor time too mallethead Pay day better come soon else i'll have no money left :(|)

So the piggies have their new bed which they are loving (Not managed to get piccies as they seem to hide away when i try to get pictures but they have pooped alot on it mallethead)

And today their hay and readigrass arrived YEAAYYY :<> I can't wait to get home now and give it to them- oh and i also bought a new fleece for use during floor time :)

Jacky, I am sure your piggies will love this hay. :)

I am on my 3rd pack since middle of March, as I bought it initially for my little Daisy who fell poorly, then had a full hysterectomy and stone in bladder removed, (then had to lay her to rest on 26.4.10). The dandelion is good for the urinary tract and I do believe that since she started nibbling this hay, that along with the cranberry juice and critical care, it did make a difference, compared to the standard meadow hay.

Fingers crossed that they will like it. I really can't see why not though. Let us know. :)

I can't believe I paid £4.49 for it locally, and online, I've seen it from as little as £3.49 upwards. Nevermind, may considering ordering online now.

By the way, does anyone mind me asking where they are getting their hay from online? I've been looking at www.petlifeonline.co.uk but don't know how good this company is.

Many thanks.

Sorry to hear of your loss- R.I.P little daisy!

I hope they like it, i'm going to mix it in with the readigrass i got too and can't wiat to see their reaction tonight- i had bought somethinh similar to readigrass with dandelions from wilkinsosn but it was a small bag (Approx 80G) for £2 but they loved it so thought i'd see if i could get anything similar in more quantity for a decent price.

I got both the hay and readigrass from the equinecaninefeline website, the Excel Herbage was £3.99 1KG and the Readigrass £2.99 1KG.

But what i liked about this site the most was that delivery was still only £2 all together rather then being based on the weight(Which can make buying stuff like this online expensive) so i'm pretty please with what i got for the price :)

I can't really buy such stuff in bulk- it's coffing up that much money in one go! I'm not sure it's neccesary just for my 2 piggies either as i wouldn't want hay sitting around for that long (2Kilos will last my 2 a fair while).

So though bulk buying is suitable for some- it isn't for others.

Never mid the fact i don't know how i would get such a large box home (As i get the stuff delivered to work and have a 20 minute walk to either the car or to the bus :) )
