Spot on Cocoa's foot

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows what this spot is? I've noticed it before but I thought it looked a bit bigger today. I suppose I didn't get a good look at it before, I just noticed it was there. If the spot did get bigger what could it be?

No worries. I don’t think it’s anything but don’t take my word for it. To me it looks like pigmentation/colour in the foot. Has it definitely grown bigger? How long have you had her and when did you first notice it? You can always email/speak to the vet if you’re worried about it.

I'm not 100% sure if it grew bigger, I really didn't pay attention to it before so it could just be the foot's color. I've had Cocoa for almost 2 years now and I noticed it a few months after I got her. I might call the vet just to be sure though

Is it just the pigmentation on her foot? To me it just looks like a patch of darker skin. Just like coat patches in different colors, guinea pigs can have fleshy areas that are different colors (one of mine has a half-pink/half-brown ear, for instance.) Maybe take a picture today and another one next week to see if there actually is a size difference. It can be hard to spot differences without the picture.

I agree - it’s skin pigmentation. My experience is this can change a bit as they age.

I also agree about it being skin pigmentation. My late Ellen had the same on one of her feet
