Squeky Piggies

Hi,
I've recently got two new guinea pigs and they seem to squek a lot compared to my past guinea's. They generally squek most of the time and especially when I pick them up,or open their hutch.
Is this normal behaviour?
 
Squeaking is perfectly normal behaviour :D
But if your really concerned about and if you think its a squeak that sounds painful and that they maybe in pain you should see a vet just to be sure nothings wrong with them.

Also, if you make a noise around them they could be just wanting more food or something and maybe just be chatter boxes ;D ;D Some piggys are louder than others :smitten:

i have 2 quiet guineas and 2 that wheek all the time, they are all different, it usually means, can i have veggies please.
 
I have a right monster called Petal and she never stops. There hucth is under the kitchen window outside andyou can here her sqeaking when the windows open ;D She'll stand facing me, sqeaking as if she's shouting at me or if i walk past the hucth she sqeaks if she thinks i'm ignoring her. We threaten her with cellotape to tape her outh shut and she only sqeaks louder ;D ;D but i do love her and she wouldn't be the same without her sqeaks :smitten:

Her cage mates Jessie only sqeaks at veg time or when i go to see them but it's quite a quiet sqeak and Hermione hasn't sqeaked alot yet except at the bus stop (abit embarrassing, lol) but she's new and still getting used to her new home :)
 
Awww bless her - When i was on my way to the vets today all my piggys kept doing was squeaking my dad was like are they supposed to do that ;D Everyone was like ahhhh what are they :o In the vets that is the customers :D Everyone was asking how old they were etc it was funny. :smitten:
 
Lol i was on my way home after buyig her from P@H, i had to get the bus and we where waiting for it when she started wheeking i must have looked like a right mad hatter going ssshhh to a cardboard box ;D ;D
 
Yes, Patch is right noisy. Koko isn't that loud but will wheek at food time and she'll purr when I pat her.
Moe is very quiet, except when he's ticked off at Patch...happens very often LOL :laugh:

my youngest piggy munchie is very squeaky!

he weeks first thing in the morning and at the same time every night for veggies, he puts so much effort into his squeaking that his little ears wiggle! its so cute <3 :D

both my piggies also squeak whenever i go into the kitchen, or if they want a nose tickle, or they make little squeaky noises when theyre laid on my knee having piggy huggles, or when theyre chasing each other and playing in the run.

munchie is definately the loudest though ;D
