My elderly boar (8.5 yrs old) Moe has been smelling REALLY BAD lately. I discovered it was because of a lot of white creamy discharge in his bum. He poos normally, but I don't know if this could lead to more problems. Should I clean him out? How should I go about doing it? Thank you for your help!

I have no experience with boys so just gonna tag in a few experienced boy owners @Rodentopia @Wiebke
Hopefully someone will be along to advise.

I would have him seen by a vet in case it is an infection that is causing the smelly discharge. That is a very venerable age!

Older boars suffer not rarely from both impaction or a build up of gunk around the penis. Handwarm water is often the best way to slowly and gently remove things; it may need more than one go. It is an extremely smelly job.

Sounds like he has a build up of discharge, if its really white and sticky. I would personally clean him out for a start with some olive oil to lubricate a cotton bud remove as much gunk as you can and if problem persists see your vet :)
