Teenage Guinea Pig
I have a pair of guinea pigs who came for boarding and the next day i have discovered what appears to be a stone that is stuck in her urethra.
The customers were happy to have her seen at the vets which i did. I then had to tell them that the vet did not have experience operating in the area where the stone now is and recommended that i took her to someone with more experience but he was concerned that her bladder seemed rather full and may not be passing urine as well as she should.
When i have informed them of this they have now decided that the bills will mount up and they would prefer her to wait until they come back in a weeks time to have her seen by their local vet. I am now concerned that i am going to be looking after a poorly guinea pig that must of had this before they came to me. I also have the forms they have to fill in saying that there is no known medical problems.
There does seem to be other medical problems too that i have noticed, a weepy eye lots of hair loss and losing weight as though she may have ovarian cysts. The vet did confirm that these symptoms could be possible ovarian cyst. I feel i should still be getting this piggie seen as she is clearly in pain.
Any advice on what i should do ?
