Hey. So my guinea pigs have regularly eaten green bell peppers and they always finish it overnight. However, I noticed that they didnt eat much of it at all one time and since green bell peppers are an essential part of my guinea pigs diet, it makes me worry. However, they eat the their other vegetables as per usual and finish it. What should i do about this?

They may just not like the taste any more. You could try a different coloured pepper maybe - all colours are fine to feed to them.

There are other veg which you can use to give vit c if they decide they don’t like peppers any more, it’s only essential they get vit c, it’s not essential it comes from peppers - Edible And Forbidden Veg And Fruit List With Vitamin C Grading

Coriander is a good source of vitamin c as well. Have you been giving them whole peppers?

Okay then, its just a shame that the only vegetable they stopped eating are green peppers since theyre really good for guinea pigs. But ill check out the alternatives!

All the others are just as good for them! It really isn’t important they have the green ones specifically. I have never fed green peppers to mine as nobody in my house eats them, so the piggies get the yellow, red and orange ones which I buy a lot of anyway as we eat them as a family

I found that one of our pigs doesn’t eat green peppers, I switched them to red and they are fine!

My pigs get bored of red bell pepper.

Someone has mentioned on here that changing supermarkets can get them back eating it again quite fast. Never tried it myself.that's assuming you buy it and don't grow

My piggies will only eat red peppers and so do us hoomans, we find green ones too bitter! Everyone in my house both hooman and piggy eat red peppers almost every day, at least 5x per week. But no harm in swapping the peppers for something else for a change, as @Siikibam says coriander/cilantro is good, also beansprouts are surprisingly good for vit C and all my piggies are mad for them!
