Storing hay

I have just bought some Timothy hay which they seem to be enjoying and I have filled a plastic box with a lid that clips down. Should I allow a corner of the box to allow air in or should I close it completely. I worry hay can dry out... Will they avoid the more dry hair because i find after a couple of hours it does

I have taken a picture and uploaded below of the box I mean. It did come in a plastic bag like most. It seems fairly good quality and they like it.

Oh and the part that looks brown is just the reflection of the light! It's quite nice hay

Thoughts?
