Hello, some people may remember me from back in 2021 when Eddie was very ill for quite some time due to dental issues. It's been a long time since I posted so I thought I should give a little update. Hopefully this story will also give owners with poorly piggies some hope that things do get better 😊.

To summarise: Eddie because very ill and was clearly in pain, struggling to eat and losing weight despise my best efforts to syringe feed. It took a long time and many tests and vet visits to work out that he had dental issues all while he continued to go downhill. The most problematic tooth was right at the back of his mouth and it was decided that the best thing to do was to remove his eye in order to reach the tooth and remove it 😟. Unfortunately removing the tooth was unsuccessful and it was a huge worry that it would continue to cause problems. However, Eddie recovered wonderfully from the op and the tooth in question has not caused long term problems.

Eddie is happy, well, and living his best piggy life 🥳 His teeth issues are well under control with regular vet and loxicom to keep him comfortable. Since recovering from the op, the loss of his eye hasn't affected him at all other than making him look like he's winking all the time 😁. At his worst his weight was in the 700s and now it's in the 900s (was briefly in the 1000s: his heaviest ever!). It's amazing to see him doing so well and living life to the fullest with his brother Elvis given how poorly he was before. Elvis is the same as always: grumpy and hungry but otherwise happy and healthy also 😂.

I will post some recent pics once I've remembered how 😂😂

Aw I’m so glad that Eddie is living life to the full with Elvis and is better now 😊 Thank you for the update x

I am so pleased to hear Eddie is doing well. Thank you for the update, it's always good to hear of a successful outcome.

Thanks for the update. I can’t believe they had to remove an eye to reach a tooth. Amazing. Glad he’s recovered.
