Our New Guinea pig is twitching a lot more than a normal popcorn and wanted to know if this was normal, we think he’s roughly 5 months old because his balls haven’t dropped yet and he doesn’t have mange or anything like that as we can see. The twitch is pretty aggressive and I have a video to show if you’d like to reach out for it

Please be aware that mites are invisible to the human eye and ultimately our stance will be that if you are in anyway concerned, if your piggy is displaying new symptoms or behaviours that are causing you concern then it would always be worthwhile having a check up with a cavy savvy vet

I agree with lady Kelly when I bought my piggies at home they both had mites and would go crazy popcorning and like roll over again and again. I was scared because I didn't knew why were they doing this( I didn't even knew at that time what's popcorning ) so I took them to the vet and he had found mites on them and treated it. Everything went normal after that but I don't know what advice should I give for your piggies because they might simply be more expressive and must be popcorning alot or it could be mites
