is there anything wrong with that? Leaving him outside some to get some fresh air. He has places to hide as well. Just wanted to make sure it was ok to do so.
They can get heatstroke, but he should be okay if there is shade for him. Things to remember:
- To make sure that he has shade even after the sun has moved
- His run needs a roof otherwise he is at risk from raptors, cats and foxes
-
He should not be in full sun all the time (not even his hides if it is over 25 C) - at least part of the run should be in the shade. I use old beach towels which I peg to the top. They have the advantage that I can moisten them with water in temperatures over 25 C (80 F) or more in the shade, so that the evaporating water cools the air around it.
Make sure that the run is dog/cat/bird of prey/predator proof if you leave it without supervision for any length of time. it literally takes only a few seconds!
