hello I am feeding my girl these organic sunflower kale or radish microgreens.

On the back it says calcium 8% and phosphorous 6%. Is this ok to feed daily? She loves them

I attached a pic of their nutritional info.

Thanks so much

I am very sorry, but we have long since given up on the ca:ph ratio because it proved to be pretty impossible to get right but for the very exceptional member. Most of the members trying it when it was new ended up with more bladder stones rather than the opposite. When you want to practise this diet, please keep in mind that you also need to take the calcium in the water and the pellets into account.

We have had much more success with a balanced low calcium diet over the years. Most of our long term members haven't had bladder stone ops in years now. Long Term Balanced General And Special Needs Guinea Pig Diet

Hello

That is good to know! I am just confused (bear with me here! I’m new to this :D )

So when I clicked on the link the sample diet per day had high calcium stuff in it like cilantro and kale in it.

They also say “. By going on extreme diets like a very low calcium diet without medical reason, you may be in danger of depriving your guinea pigs of vital nutrients and instead of avoiding one problem you can create others in the long term“

I’m confused! Do I give her a tiny bit high calcium stuff daily plus lower or just high calcium once a week?

Also as she is 4 months old do I give her alfalfa ? How often? (She is not on alfalfa pellets)

Lastly, the pellets she is on are:

Are these considered high in calcium?

Thanks so much! And sorry for all the questions! This calcium stuff is mega confusing. :D
