Swelling on Side of GP

Hi,

My Guinea Pig has a large swelling, covering nearly 1/2 of her side. It is quite soft to touch and has arisen within the last few days. She isn't lethargic and appears to be showing no other symptoms. What could this be? I am quite worried for her.

The only advice I have is to go to a good vet as soon as you can, please!

If you do not know a good vet please give your location and hopefully a cavy savvy vet can be recommended.

Definitely see a vet to get it checked out. Since you said 'she' I would wonder if it's an ovarian cyst, but there's no way to know without a vet exam. Good luck and keep us posted!
