I'm syringe feeding Matthew,Harry and Finley. it takes six hours of my day .its mainly top up feeds.one has hyperthyroidism,so needs top ups to maintain his weight.i think some people do not take into account how much work guinea pigs can be when unwell.i think i should set up a syringe feeding service,i actually enjoy it !

Gosh, well done you. I remember when I was syringe feeding Ted before we found Simon and it took me back to when my son was a small baby, almost continual feeding and no time to barely to eat or sleep. It’s such hard work and emotionally draining when things don’t go to plan

Gosh well done @eileen. You are a pro now. I’m sure a lot of people would love someone else to syringe feed their piggies as it’s so stressful if you’re not used to doing it. I hope they all perk up soon. ❤️

I know what you mean @eileen - it's very rewarding when they respond to being fed. I've often wished I could teleport myself around the country/world when I see someone post to say they are struggling with a sick piggie, a fulltime job and children. Being retired and having lots of time to spare it would be lovely to be able to help out.
I hope your piggies get well soon and the one with hyperthyrodism gets on okay.

I understand completely.
It’s time consuming enough with just one piggy needing top up feeds.
It is so true about the relationship building though.
Hope your 3 all recover
