My darling Tass was pts today. She had recently been diagnosed with cancer and was slowly becoming less able to move around and losing interest in food.

The vet came to the house. I sat next to Tass on the floor. She rested her head on my leg and cuddled up to me. Her passing was quick and gentle.

I will really really miss her. I also have a black labrador (Jojo aged 12) and a recently aquired poodle puppy (Rusty aged 16 weeks) who have been rather quiet today.

I’m so sorry for your loss. The more you loved them the more it hurts. She had a wonderful life with you. And she gave you all of her love in return. You did the kindest thing. No more pain over the bridge. Take care of yourself.

Thank you so much for your lovely words. The dogs and I went on 3 walks today and young Rusty has been mr playful. A friend came over and we drank Tass's health with tea. She was such a wonderful dog x
 
So very sorry that you had to take that difficult decision.
You gave Tass a last precious gift of love.
Be gentle with yourself as you grieve
 
She had the best life with you and although there will be a Tass shaped hole in your heart, you will keep the happy memories with you and be able to smile as you think of them. RIP Tass x
