Yeh, so I'm currently revising for my exams and was just revising about Tuberculosis and its control, and it was just on Country-file too.
Also been quite a lot of press coverage lately.

Just wondered what all your opinions are.

Are you for/ against / don't care?
Don't know much about it ..?
Want some more facts about it..etc?

Maybe turn this into a bit of a discussion/debate..? Could be insightful and make you consider different aspects of this problem that you might not have thought of before..

What do you mean, as in vaccination? Apparently the number of cases has been on the increase for years, despite the vaccination being widely administered. They don't do the BCG routinely now except in at-risk areas and its protection is neither 100% nor permanent.

It's like anything else really, take sensible precautions when you or others are unwell and it's unlikely to be a problem.

yep tb has been on the rise over the years.

Plus its been on the rise in cattle too despite all the testing and culling of infected cattle.

so do people think that the testing and culling of infected cattle should be the only way of controlling it, when it is also widespread out in the wildlife population, eg badgers, deer etc.. Should these be controlled too?

Everyone's probably herd of the trial area for the badger cull in west wales.. what do you think?
