We lost our Cilla last week leaving joey on his own, he is starting to look lonely and it is so sad, i even played him happy guinea sounds but seeing him so inquisitive broke my heart. I am in the process of registering with rescues to find him a new sow but it seems a single lady isnt that easy to find. Today i decided to give joey a small teddy to see what he done, he investigated it which was cute but that was all. I've just got back in the room and he is laying with his head on it! OMG it's so sweet but heartbreaking at the same time, he just wants to have a special piggy friend

Oh poor Joey. Have you contacted Honeybunnies in Leicester?
Or have you considered bonding him with a pair of sows?
In the meantime I glad he's got a snuggly cuddly toy x

I have measured our free space in the front room and i can only get a 120 cage so not really big enough for 3 i am in process of filling forms out for 2 rescues although at the minute they have no singletons, i can find single sows on rehoming sites but I've done that before and bonding hasn't worked and its my must have this time

Then you are safer by far to wait for a date with a suitable sow. Have you posted in the rescue And rehoming thread in case anyone on the forum may be able to help?

You could try Hazelcroft rescue out? They are located in St Albans. I'm not sure if thats too far for you or not.
