Hi can anyone tell me when Guinea Pigs become teenagers and does this change a females behaviour? When they become adults will they be as dominant towards other guinea pigs as they are when they are teenagers?

Thank you:)

I'd love to know this too as Cupcake must be getting on for about six months old and appears to be answering Dindy back with a little attitude now. Dindy is very dominant. Of course it doesn't help that we have a male guest living in the basement of Dindy Towers at the moment.

Boys are usually more pronounced, but girls can be pretty hormonal as well! The worst is usually between 4-12 months.

Dominance and dominant behaviour is a basic element of guinea pig society. Some piggies get mellower with age, but not all dominant ones!
