I've been having problems with my vinnie pig. Not long after i adopted him he stopped eating right. I took him to the vet and they filed his teeth down as they were over grown. He never really ate right after that and his teeth over grew again, it was almost as if he couldnt or wouldnt eat right. Back to the vets i went. They re done his teeth but they said that the bottom row was to long and the top to short. Also the teeth at the front arent meeting up now, almost like an over bite. Hes lost weight and I'm worried, i dont know whats happened to change the structure of his mouth. I'm taking him back to the vet next week for a check up but dont know whats wrong. Hes not happy being hand fed and is still off the veg. The vet will want to knock him out to give him an x ray so i dont want that so soon after having his teeth done. ]

Does any one know what the problem is and what can i do?

is it a vet that knows what they are doing with piggy teeth? Its just that so many dont really seem to know what the deal is thats all. And in the meantime yu piggy goes downhill, i wouldnt be happy about my pig having a ga when they have probably lost weight due to not eating properly :(

The vet has been good in the past. He said the jaw is out of allignment. I can see a diffrent vet next week for a second opinion but i just thought i'd ask to be more informed. They've checked for root issues and infections ect as have i had teeth issues with previous pigs but this is stumping me.

hamilton in scotland, i think his jaw is misalligned. I'm not to ure how to fix it, been trying to massage but I'm worried about causing more bother.

Its easy, Once your in Glasgow. You get the train to Larbert from Queens Street. Then a taxi to Apex vets costs £5-£6 each way. Honestly I haven't did this journey more than once. rolleyes
