One thing I love about Tomie is her happy, bouncy, enthusiastic nature. She is over a year old now and still gets excited about things like a baby pig. There is not a day when I give her hay that she doesn't get super excited about it and popcorn a few times. Same hay every day and she is still literally jumping for joy when she gets it! She's just generally high energy, but I love her enthusiasm about the little things, I wish it would rub off on me! As one of my kids said, "She's more excited about nothing than I have ever been about anything."

Anyone else have any over-enthusiastic pigs who are just excited to be here living life?

Not quite what you asked for but I had to say my Pepper is the most unenthusiastic pig I have ever known. In over 4 years not once have I seen her popcorn, run or raise one eyebrow of excitement, even when she was a baby. And yet in a funny way she radiates contentment. 20201022_140635.webp

Aww what a lovely thread idea 🥰. I love watching my two at their ‘happy stuff’ - a hay stuffed paper bag, veggies, foraging for pellets and making those wee contented, pottering noises. Most of all tho I love to see them enjoying each other’s company when they have the zoomies together! It’s like, “C’mon Pansy, let’s run!” (Zoomie zoomie, hay flying). Back into their separate rooms.
“Round again Zola! Race you!”
It’s just lovely to see them interacting with each other in their happy play! 🥰. Here they are…. Zola (black face) and Pansy (tri-colour face)

Odi is a very happy boy most of the time. Of course he is also an enthusiastic sleeper, but he has a very special way of walking/running that makes me smile, everytime I see it.

All my piggies are very excited at feeding times. You would think, they are starving.
Bur it's more about their pure joy of life. 💓

Micah doing zoomies and popcorning although he is a hefty ‘mature’ boar.

I love the happy purring noise as soon as veggies appear, and from Priscilla as she grabs a piece of cucumber and runs into a hidey with it..

Camowen. Camowen is enthusiastic about everything, including trying to bite your fingers off for daring to clip his nails. Him and Bann do still popcorn and do the zoomies occasionally but they show most of their enthusiasm vocally and as loudly as possible. Mostly, because they love food, and if they see me, I'm the one that produces the food, so they greet me enthusiastically because I'll have food!

I can't even go to the toilet in peace :td:

I actually just took them a green bean each so I could use the toilet in peace. They sniffed at them, ignored them, so I tossed them into the cage thinking they'd work it out in a sec...and then they went "OH", bounced out of their beds, booped noses with each other (not a dominance thing, for once) then ran at me shrieking happily and trying to crane their heads as far over the bars as possible. They ran over the beans to do this. They're not the brightest, but they're clearly loving it.

Ran over the beans! 🤣

Ran over the beans! 🤣

The beans have since disappeared so clearly they understood eventually, lol. Between that and just having to bribe Bann so I could turf him out of his nice, comfy bed...he wasn't amused til the dandelions appeared. 🤷‍♂️

It's cute when they do zoomies together! Right now Tomie does them on her own because Leela is an older girl and is not that into running around anymore. She's more of a slow, steady walker! LOL!

Hi all! Love this thread. All my pigs are/have been happy little souls but I’ve recently adopted a new baby that is excited about everything, and nothing! She will just scream with joy over all sorts of thing and is a proper ray of sunshine and has helped heal my heart a bit after losing one of my treasured babies.
